Born in Mexico City in 1970, Cynthia Prado was exposed from an early age to the works of outstanding Mexican artists and her work is still influenced by them as well as the vibrant, cheerful colors and beautiful landscapes that always surrounded her.
 
Her studies in art began at the Real Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City. In 1989 she moved to New York City to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts. Her paintings and photographs have since been exhibited and sold both in the United States and Mexico.

Currently Cynthia resides in Skaneateles, New York where she continues to capture the breathtaking landscapes of the Finger Lakes region either on canvas or through her photographs.
